Fancy new bridge has broken.

Cables on bridges like this one should not just snap, especially when
the bridge is only about two years old.
If one cable has snapped, then other cables supporting the bridge
could also be weak, and also snap. The cables designed to support this
bridge should have been able to handle a far greater tension than is
expected of them.

More importantly though, the snapping of one cable puts a lot more
tension in adjacent cables, increasing the chances of them snapping.
The missing cable could also bend the bridge out of shape, possibly
weakening it. (If you have seen a bike wheel with a broken spoke you
will know what I mean).

I think this bridge will be out of use for quite some time. (A minimum
of four months, and easily possible more than a year).
